The 1.04 firmware beta is now being tested, and will soon be publicly available. It adds one major feature and a number of fixes:- isoMenu system- Fixed Hitachi 78/79 & XGD3- Fixed Samsung & XGD3 (thanks to morph0 and others)- Increased AP25 failure grace period- Implemented MenuIso menu system- Changed behavior when an ISO is selected and tray is closed. ISO is now queued until tray opens- Added Mount point count to main menu- Added xkey.cfg fileOn popular demand we have added the IsoMenu feature. It implements a Mixed Media style menu system. Xk3y generates a virtual ISO in memory that represents the USB Mass Storage devices attached to your Xk3y. You can then navigate the menu and launch games with the Xbox joypad.

At E3 we announced the new Xbox LIVE dashboard which will deliver intuitive navigation, increased responsiveness and improved engagement with Xbox experiences � all beginning this holiday. Now that our work on the dashboard is almost complete, we are announcing an open call for all Xbox LIVE members to register to participate in a preview program to help us test the system. This is an important program as we continually strive to ensure the reliability of a service that reaches tens of millions globally. We could not do so without the ongoing help of our great community. Once this program is kicked off, an update will be pushed to your console that will contain select dashboard features, including: � New design for integrated Kinect and controller navigation � New Beacons to play online with friends � Deeper Facebook integration � New Cloud Storage for Game Saves and Xbox LIVE ProfileOther features and entertainment partner apps may come into view during the program period.Note: A console in the program is expected to remain fully compatible with standard retail consoles not in the program. We�ve known this drive was in the pipeline since back in early June, and now the Lite-On 1175 DG-16D5S has finally begun to make its appearance in retail units. Check out photos of the new drive here. The status table has been updated to include this new drive. As usual, please contact an op in the #c4e channel on EFnet IRC if you have one of these drives and are willing to send it to the team or if you can provide a full fw dump (whether current unlocking methods still work for this drive, has yet to be determined).Thank you to �R� for providing initial insight about this drive several months ago, and to Fresh101 for his photos confirming the drive�s presence in retail units.

Sometime during the early morning hours tomorrow (Pacific Time, Tuesday, October 11th) we are pushing out a mandatory system update. If you are signed into LIVE already, you may be signed out. Once the update has been completed, you�ll be able to sign-in again and back online in a few moments.This is a general system maintenance update and there are no new features that will show up once your system has been updated.

Yesterday c4e released the new LTPlus 2.0 for Slim Liteon, again all credit and good work is from c4e !Among other stuff this new LTPlus 2.0 features support for XGD3 backups (require special burning method).We have released Lizard Toolbox fileset containing the LTplus 2.0 firmware for sammy, benq and phat Liteon and also new SD file pack for Standalone mode. We have relabeled this release as CFW template LT 2.0b (note the "b" at end), this is to diferentiate from last week release, this new "b" has all previous LT 2.0 for phat drives and for the Slims.Both the CFW Template and the SDFile pack can be downloaded from our Fileset Blog.Also just to note there is no need to update gecko firmware (just ensure you use the latest 1.23) and also the Lizard Toolbox application remains same (1.0.36).On this next week we will update Lizard TBX to have version checking on the CFW templates, that will easy the job to keep updated. We will post again when its done.

Official release of the iXtreme LT+ v2.0* Support for XGD3 ixtreme backups using LT-MAX for maximum capacity on standard DVD+R DL discs. Passes all security checks for XGD3 including correct capacity.* Support for large capacity DVD+R DL media (no errors when burning) I would like to dedicate this fw to the Xbox Live Enforcement Team and the recent false (AP25) bans and subsequent reversal. * Since each individual xk3y is tested in a Xbox before shipping the current throughput is only about 300 pieces per day, but we are expanding our QC facility and hope to have a throughput of at least 800/day by the end of next week.Stock was shipped to several suppliers today via express courier and tomorrow more will ship out. We are trying our best to balance out the stock so all who pre-ordered will get some stock. * Engineers from our team have been hard at work implementing a web interface that allows you to control your xk3y from your iPhone, iPad, or any other device with a browser. Expect this feature in a firmware update in the near future! An API is also in the works, paving way for an Android app and more. (The web interface requires the xk3y WiFi dongle, which will be sold separately)On another note: Five more Distributors/Resellers where shipped stock today.
