Hace ya tiempo que me quedé prendada del mundo onírico y original de la interiorista y diseñadora británica Abigail Ahern -os prometo que ya he hablado de ella antes por Vintage & Chic pero no consigo encontrar el post!!-

This is not the first post dedicated to the magic world of british designer and interiorist Abigail Ahern in Vintage&Chic, but I can't find the links!. Anyway, all these photos from The Selby, shot at her London home are so inspiring!. All these vintage treasures -have you seen the aquamarine desk made with an old heavy dining table?- fit amazingly in this paradise of black walls and mixture. And what can I say about the white chandelier in the bathroom -one of her designs-? I could live in this bathroom.

Os prometí fotos, así que aquí están. Recién llegada ayer noche de mi viaje relámpago por tierras de Castilla. [] I promised you photos from my quick trip through Castilla yesterday. So here they are.

Una Castilla ancha, sí, pero también llana, rural, tranquila, amarilla y marrón, tan distinta de Asturias que con tanta novedad para mis ojos acostumbrados a montañas y verde, no podía dejar de sacar fotos y más fotos. (Esta está tomada en la zona de Burgo de Osma. Soria)

To my eyes, so used to the green shades of my region, Asturias, all these yellows and brown colors of Castilla where just sublime. I couldn't stop taking photos.

Unas veces, parando el coche un ratito en el arcén. Otras, la mayoría, las disparé mientras conducía, al tuntún. [] Sometimes, I stopped the car in one side of the road to take photos. Sometimes, I took them while driving (of course, without looking!)

La prueba fehaciente de que llegué a mi destino... [] The living proof that I arrived to my destination...

¿Y sabéis qué? Ayer ví al sol salir y ponerse. (autovía León-Burgos)

And you know what? Yesterday I saw the sun rising and setting

Y el resumen del viaje bien podría ser este. Un día especial. El 11 del 10 del 11. Capicúa. 1300 kilómetros y 14 horas de ruta sin casi parar. Creo que voy a evitar coger el coche en unos días... [] And this photo could be a perfect summary of my trip. A special day. 11 of 10 of 11. About 800 miles and 14 hours almost non-stop driving. I will avoid taking the car in the coming days.

(Ayer me preguntábais si hago "entregas en mano" como esta de forma habitual. Y no, no estoy tan loca. Es la primera vez y posiblemente una de las últimas, pero las arañas de bronce vintage que llevé eran demasiado delicadas para otra forma de envío y era la excusa perfecta para un día de aventura. Ahora sólo me queda desear que los viajeros que se alojen en el precioso hotel rural que están cuidando hasta el mínimo detalle Noelia y Rodrigo en el pequeño pueblo de Cortes de Tajuña, al norte de Guadalajara y próximo a Alcolea del Pinar, sepan apreciar su belleza y pasen agradables horas de charla y diversión bajo su luz. Y muchas gracias Noelia y Rodrigo por vuestra confianza y amabilidad. ¡Espero fotos de esa joya que os traéis entre manos!)

Hoy, mientras leéis estas líneas -espero que no mientras conducís =S -, yo estaré cruzando la mitad de España en un coche cargado de lámparas, como Aladino de ida y vuelta en versión vintage

While your read this today, I'd be probably crossing half of Spain in my husband's car fill with vintage chandeliers, kinda go and return vintage Aladin girl. Some beautiful bronze chandeliers that are starting a brand new life in a boutique hotel in a small village in the heart of Spain, in the Guadalajara province. I promise some photos!. In the meanwhile, I leave you with some old posts related to the lighting world.
