As you may or may not have noticed, our sprite section has not updated since... well, since the Bush administration. As you probably also know, It's mostly because, with no content management system, it is a GIANT fucking pain to update. Everything is html, and because Atto made it when he was 12, there is no rhyme or reason to it's organization under the hood. It is a giant clusterfuck with over 100 folder directories and the only way to find something is to search through the backup.So the surviving site members have been scrambling for the last few months to find a new system to get the archive updateable and back on it's feet. Yoshi (who has been awesomely helpful) and I had been scavenging the internet, sometimes getting very close, but in the end, the system was missing one feature we needed.However, Spin randomly IM'd me out of the blue last night with a system that is about 96% what we were looking for!So here's the plan:The old archive will always be accessible. I cannot stress this enough. It always drove me nuts when a site I liked changed their layout and I couldn't find anything/got rid of sheets I liked. We will not do this to you.Atto and I will design and work on the new sprite section in the next coming week. I'm not going to lie; our main priority at this point is to just get it up and running. As a result, the look will be ugly at first. Not the site design itself, but the thumbnails. Finding each custom thumbnail that corresponds with each sheet would require weeks of leafing through Atto's shit mess of a folder tree, and we want to get this damn thing up before Atto goes back to college. So essentially:STEP 1

-upload the shit out of everything and get it organized. ugly, but neatly organizedSTEP 2

-Over the period of many moons, fix each section one by one with new sexy thumnailsSTEP 3

So I ended up getting a nook color for my birthday, and upon using the google, I discovered something interesting about it. Apparently, It can be hacked into an android tablet. This is the result.I figured it would be slow, but with setcpu at 900mhz and launcherpro, It runs as smooth as my phone! If you're in the market for a tablet that costs under $250 and you only want to use it to email people, read books, or flip birds at pigs, this little thing is badass!And thank you for the handful of birthday emails, which I assume were sent from former forum-ers who somehow remembered the dateAlso, a special thanks to my steampunk'n girlfriend for doing this to my nook cover.
