It shows several NYPD officers in Harlem attempting to arrest four girls who had tried to board the subway without paying the fare. The girls resist arrest — but that might be an understatement. WNYW-TV explains:

One girl is seen swinging a bag at the officer while others try to pull away as they’re being handcuffed.  One of the officers pulls out and swings his billy-club in a defensive move as he is attacked.

The same girl with the bag can also be seeing kicking one of the officers.

This is a clear example of what the liberal democrats have done to (some) blacks, they’ve turned them into idiots who belive the law does not apply to them. Liberals disgust me.

Quick update: I've been working on 15 articles for other Web sites. On top of reading virtually every book on college football history (when I get an idea, I pursue and attack it from every direction possible and that means doing some necessary reading and homework), my free time has been occupied. This week, however, is going to be the most engaging one in the history of SBPDL. You'll see a number of articles at other sites by Paul Kersey, podcast #3, and two new articles each day here.

Maybe it’s those Eminem Chrysler ads.

The S&P/Case-Shiller home price data came out this morning and only one of the 20 major city indexes showed a gain in February over the previous month: Detroit!

When Detroit headlines the housing data, you know it’s not particularly awesome. And while Detroit did post a price rise, home prices in the Motor City remain about 30% below 2000 price levels. Yowzers. Atlanta, Cleveland and Las Vegas also have home price levels below the 2000 mark.

“There is very little, if any, good news about housing. Prices continue to weaken, trends in sales and construction are disappointing,” says David M. Blitzer, Chairman of the Index Committee at S&P Indices.

It's so hard, in fact, that of the 100 largest metro areas in the United States, only one has a smaller share of blacks, Hispanics and Asians -- the Scranton-Wilkes Barre region of northeastern Pennsylvania.

A new Brookings Institution report released last week, examining 2010 census data on how Americans identified race and ethnicity, found that southwestern Pennsylvania is whiter even than the Amish country around Lancaster, the Mormon population center of Salt Lake City, Midwest agrarian capitals such as Des Moines, Iowa, and far more isolated places like Boise, Idaho.

It is not stunningly new data for this former melting pot -- findings from the 2000 census were much the same -- but what might be eye-opening is that the pace of change toward greater diversity is even slower here than for all those places above, as well as the rest of America.

The report called "The New Metro Minority Map," by demographer William Frey, found that the 87 percent white population of greater Pittsburgh -- Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington and Westmoreland counties -- is exceeded only by Scranton's 89 percent. The report noted 8 percent of metro Pittsburgh's population identified themselves as black, 2 percent as Asian and 1 percent as Hispanic.
