    El movimiento Satyananda Yoga con sede en India ha programado cursos de Estudios Yóguicos que se imparten a nivel mundial. En América Latina estos cursos se dictan en la Academia Satyananda Yoga®, con sede en Bogotá.

    Son tres cursos de 8 meses cada uno, que comprenden niveles sucesivos de desarrollo y profundización culminando, en el último nivel, con la entrega del diploma que acredita, a quien haya cumplido  satisfactoriamente con los requisitos del programa, como Profesor de SatyanandaYoga®.

     

    Proporcionan la oportunidad de descubrir detalladamente el funcionamiento de las técnicas del yoga y el por qué de su efecto. Se estudian los orígenes de las prácticas y conceptos del yoga y se analiza la forma como el yoga tradicionalmente ha visto el cuerpo, la energía, la mente y el espíritu. A través de la anatomía y la fisiología se desarrolla un enfoque científico sobre el funcionamiento del cuerpo, y mediante la psicología yóguica se hace una completa investigación sobre el manejo de la mente. Se exploran las diferentes ramas del yoga y sus posibilidades de utilización para transformar y desarrollar la experiencia humana.

    Los cursos tienen la estructura de un seminario residencial de 9 días al inicio del año en la localidad de Ráquira, Colombia y continúan el resto del año con lecturas, tareas y práctica en casa, apoyadas y dirigidas a través del texto proporcionado, un programa en Internet específico para este fin y textos de apoyo que se pueden adquirir tanto en Bogotá como en Santiago.

    Las inscripciones para Estudios Yoguicos 1, año 2012, están abiertas y se cierran el 15 de diciembre de este año. El curso comienza  con el seminario residencial entre los días 10 y 19 de febrero de 2012.
