Hi everyone and welcome back to Foto Friday!

Last week theme was "Machine's" and here is the featured photo for this week!

Kim from Picking Poppies captured this awesome shot of a bird next to a bird feeder machine. Very friendly birds indeed! Pop over and see the rest of her shots if you haven't already. Lovely vivid image Kim well done.

This week's theme is "Leaves" and I couldn't decide again on a photo. So I thought I would share more photos from Wisconsin. The leaves on the trees are beautiful this time of year, and beginning to change colors.

The landscape is so pretty and photogenic.

Now it's your turn to share your photo(s) of leaves.

Grab my button or link back to me please.

Visit other blogs with words of encouragement.

If you are new here you can read the Foto Friday FAQ's here.

If you have a theme suggestion email it to me.

If you were featured and would like a button, grab it below.

Next week's theme "Orange"

Thanks for stopping by,

Ah..But there was a book first!

Too Many Pumpkins!

by: Linda White

We read this book every year! Rebecca Estelle hates pumpkins because she was forced to eat them as a child because her family was struggling, and that's all they had to eat! So when the pumpkin truck accidentally drops a ripe pumpkin from the back of it's truck in her garden that splattered everywhere, Rebecca Estelle decided to ignore the pumpkin. When she saw vines growing in her garden she decided if she didn't tend to it, her pumpkin problem would go away. Until...Fall came, she discovered she has a problem of epic proportions on her hands: TOO MANY PUMPKINS!

Thanks for stopping by, we enjoyed our Pumpkin Day!

We made these paper plate Jack-O-Lanterns last Halloween but they were never posted, so I thought I would share. The pictures are not of the best quality, but it's the craft that counts. :)

Items we used:

two paper plates

orange tempera paint

sponge paint brush

black, green, and brown construction paper

stapler

I stapled two paper plates together to make the pumpkin.

I drew the eyes, nose, and mouth on black construction paper.

I drew a stem with brown paper, and a leaf with the green construction paper.

They began by painting both of their paper plates.

Tempera paints dry fast and these paper plates were very absorbent.

After they dried I stapled the two plates together. They boys added the Jack-O-Lantern features, stem and leaf.

Very simple and fun craft!

Thanks for stopping by!

The day baby was born is a free service provided by Tommee Tippee that automatically gathers information about the day your baby was born, based on your selections, to create a storybook for family and friends.

Start as soon as you know you are pregnant and catch every detail of the journey.

By connecting to your Facebook account to The Day Baby Was Born it will automatically capture your wall comments leading to your baby's first day. You can add information day by day, week by week, and even create a letter for your baby.

Here is a sample storybook. Also visit Tommee Tippee's Facebook Page and Website for additional information.

Tommee Tippee baby and toddler products are sold at Toys R Us & Babies R Us. And we had the pleasure of reviewing the Tommee Tippee Truly Spill Proof Cups.

This is the Explora 2-pack 9oz.  24mos. Blue/Aqua. Aren't they cute!

Here's how the review went.

He was very fascinated with his new drinking cup! He loved the rockets and stars and it took me awhile to get him to drink out of it. But eventually he did. So after a while I asked him to shake it up, and he did. He turned it upside down, shook it up, and....no leaks! Super! I am very pleased with these cups! No spills, no accidental leaks on the sofa, perfect. Well recommended!

Tommee Tippee will give One Lucky person a set of cups in this Giveaway!

Blank Space

1. Landscape

Looking past someone's farm through the landscape onto another farm at the silo's in the distance.

2. Complementary Colors

This photo was taken in Historic Prairie du Chien, Wi. along the upper Mississippi River.

3. Black and White

On our Aunt's farm she has a fenced in area with wild flowers growing. On the far post is a bird house made with old licence's plates. Very nice looking in this black and white tone.

4. Food

This is on the farm next to our Aunt. A vibrant corn field waiting to be harvested, I'm sure in a couple of weeks. Some food from Wisconsin.

5. Blank Space

This is the path we took to a corn/sunflower maze. A blank space only for a few minutes at a time while visitors came and went.

Welcome to Week #3 of the Holiday Kid Craft Link Up!

This week I am pulling one from the archives that we enjoyed so much!

Hand Print Monsters

Go Away Big GREEN Monster!

by: Ed Emberley

The book starts with a black page and two gleaming yellow eyes through the text. Big GREEN Monster has two big yellow eyes. Each page adds a new adjective-laden element, including a bluish greenish nose, and purple hair until the culmination of effects prompts a response of "YOU DON'T SCARE ME! SO GO AWAY.... It's very visual and very bold. I love the the fact that this an introduction to adjectives and a repetitive text that have the children's sole attention. If you haven't read this book, it is a must.

Now it's your turn to link up your creativity, I can't wait to see them!

Hand Print Monsters

Now what child doesn't love fun little monster's and paint!

I absolutely love, love the way this craft turned out and so did they.

Lots of giggles here!

I found this wonderful craft over at Little Learners Lounge. She painted feet too. I choose not to and thought hands would be enough since we were working on more than one craft today.

You may have noticed from the pictures we didn't paint each finger every time or omitted the thumb. This made for an interesting, yet adorable monster! And I love the way we could create a mouth in the palm of the hands in the first picture.

Items we used for craft:

Yellow construction paper

Tempera paints

Googly eyes

Marker to draw a mouth

Glue for eyes
