Other Stuff Family Fun for Everyone From balloon clown, to dunk tank, ice cream to car racing there is something for everyone at the Knox Mountain Hill Climb. To view the car racing you my choose to watch from the start line grand stand and follow the action on closed circuit TV or hike the hill and watch from your favorite corner. Knox Mountain is the place for fast action on the May long weekend! In addition to the CACC solo sprint hill climb, the weekend at Knox includes: Saturday - Show and Shine car show Owners of show worthy sports, import or tuner cars are welcome to display there cars at Knox Mountain. There is no charge for car show participants. The driver of any car entered in the show and shine will receive free admission to the Knox Mountain Hill climb. There will be a Peoples choice ballot by which the spectators will chose the first, second and third place cars. Plaques will be awarded at around 4:50 pm. Those showing cars should arrive at the Car Show gate at 8:00 am. Saturday Dance in the Park (5 to 7 pm.) Come out Saturday evening and enjoy the park while dancing to the sounds of "The Regals" This is an awesome local band playing music from the 50's and 60's. The band consits of 4 musicians, plus a female lead singer. Everyone of them has played professionally and as a matter of fact 3 members have played with or backed up Bobby Curtola. The keyboard player also has experience with Loggins and Messina. Recently, the band has added Larry Branson a well known for his " Roy Orbison" performances. Cost for dance only is $5.00. Enter at the main gate after 3 pm. Sunday VW day Owners of any VW product are welcome to bring their car to the VW car show. The driver will receive a day pass to Knox Mountain. How many people can you fit in a bug? We want to see how many VWs we can fit in the park. Any VW product including Audi and Bentley qualifies. Tuner Volkswagen is hosting this event.
