Best costumes!9. Edward Scissorhands
Best set design!8. Reservior Dogs
Another to watch with friends!7. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
WOW!6. South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut
Funniest movie ever!!5. Goodfellas
Watch it with your friends!4. Jackie Brown
Most under-rated movie ever!3. The Big Lebowski
The best Coen brothers film. The Dude is one of the greatest characters ever.2. American Beauty
Really amazing script! Kevin Spacy is awesome in this movie. Very interesting thoughts and views about life in the suberbs.1. Pulp Fiction
Lauren L.
People. Give it up. It was a good movie that it became cool to bash. I think by now we can all clear our heads and admit that it was a damn good movie. Yes, Leonardo DiCaprio sucked (see my next entry for a rave about his previous acting skills) but other than that, it had great production values and the rest of the cast was good.9. What's Eating Gilbert Grape?
I admit it -- I'm a Johnny Depp freak. He's the best actor of his generation, you must admit. The movie captures what it's supposed to capture perfectly -- the snapshot of a week in a small, boring town. And the very end always leaves me with a good feeling.8. Benny and Joon
I love, love, love this movie. It's so cute and just fun. Johnny Depp's performance is truly great -- he really does remind one of the old silent film stars. And the end shot, with Sam and Joon ironing the sandwiches as the camera moves away, "I'm Gonna Be" playing in the background . . . my all-time favorite ending shot.7. Edward Scissorhands.
Still Tim Burton's masterpiece, as far as I'm concerned. "Big Fish" was great, but this one just edges it out. Also, this movie proved the conspiracy theorists right -- Johnny Depp deserved an Oscar for this, and it's a travesty that he didn't get it.6. Philadelphia
Tom Hanks deserved that Oscar. Boy, did he. He and Denzel Washington took the heartbreaking story and made it even more heartbreaking. I hope this movie made some people think about discrimination and if they were a part of it.5. Dogma
Absolutely brilliant. Kevin Smith is a genius. To the average viewer who is just sitting there waiting to be offended, it's offending. But if you really watch it, it actually has some pretty good ideas and it might make you think.4. Singles
Okay, yeah, I just love the setting and the subplot. The relationship between Linda and Steve is boring as hell. But the relationship between Cliff and Janet is utterly engrossing, maybe because their characters are much more interesting. Plus how could you not love a movie set in Seattle in the early '90s, with a soundtrack featuring everyone except Nirvana, and with appearances by Eddie Vedder, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Tad Doyle, and Chris Cornell? I guess I love it because it's a snapshot of a place and time.3. Pulp Fiction
Quentin Tarantino annoys the hell out of me. That said, he's a brilliant filmmaker. The four parts interweave seamlessly, and when the beginning meets the end, there's this moment where you sit there and go "Ohhhh!" And that's what makes the movie great.2. Forrest Gump
It's just so epic, how could you not love it? Tom Hanks did such a great job, and so did Sally Field, Robin Wright Penn, and Gary Sinise. It was a feel-good movie, but a well-done feel-good movie. One of those extremely rare ones that's better than the book.1. Good Will Hunting
charles tupper
without a doubt the funniest movie of all time.9. Braveheart
8. The Usual Suspects
7. The English Patient
6. Silence of The Lambs
the best performance of hopkin's career. same with foster.5. Schindler's List
the only great movie from an overated director.4. Goodfellas
the last great movie from scorcesee.3. The Shawshank Redemption
2. Fargo
i cant beleive no one put this on their lists. the coen brothers are amazing and this is their best.1. Pulp Fiction

I like words and letters. I'm not crazy about complete sentences.9. Se7en
He's a nut bag! Just because th fucker's got a library card doesn't make him Yoda.8. The Usual Suspects
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was making the world believe he didn't exist.7. Good Fellas
I'm funny? What do you mean? Do I amuse you, am I a clown?6. Wayne's World
Thanks...I like to play [cling].5. Pulp Fiction
Zed's dead baby, Zed's dead.4. Tombstone
I'm your Huckleberry.3. JFK
I could give you a false name, but I won't. Just call me X.2. True Romance
Do you know who I am Mr. Worley? I'm the anti-Christ. You get me in a vendetta kind of mood, and I swear you'll tell all the angels in heaven you never seen and evil so singuraly personified than in the face of the man that killed you.1. Reservoir Dogs
Shannon
It's great. You just can't go wrong here.9. Forrest Gump
You have to love this movie. This movie made me love Tom Hanks more than I already did.8. Titanic
A great great great movie. I still cry everytime I see it.7. Dazed and Confused
Really a cult classic now.6. The Sixth Sense
An amazing plot twist. I never saw it coming. A great movie.5. 10 Things I Hate About You
Hilarious. It really depicts teenagers very accurately and how it's really like.4. Ed Wood
Simply fantastic. Johnny and Tim can make some of the best movies.3. The Wedding Singer
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are amazing together. It had a great story to tell and it was hilarious.2. Edward Scissorhands
A beautiful beautiful movie. Johnny Depp is absolutely amazing. No one else could have pulled that off. One of Tim Burton's best.1. Scream
Samara

Love this album still holds up after so many years.7. Sonic Youth, "Experimental jet set trash, and no star"
My favorite band of all time. their commercial success and a match made in heaven on how kim and thurston understand Teenagers. Thank you for this album.6. Pj Harvey, "To Bring You My Love"
She brought out the devil in me I knew lurked behind the inner soul of my body. She is still going strong, but this album was a must in the 90's and today as well.5. Fiona Apple, "Tidal"
This is my jagged little pill. She paved the way for adele and her heartbreak. Give it a listen. It kills you with her soothing vocals.4. Hole, "Live through This"
This is my high school album. 94-95 where two great years for music for me. This record still plays daily at least once a day.3. Portishead, "Portishead"
Truly a classic album. Prefer this to their debut much darker and more fully realized to me.2. Bjork, "Post"

Tied with "The Breakfast Club" for my favorite movie of all time. It's such a beautiful and inspiring story, and I love the setting (I have this thing for Boston). Ben and Matt deserved that Oscar.
