    „Wie alle Neulinge begannen wir mit dem  Hubschrauber, sahen aber bald ein, dass Hubschrauber einfach keine Zukunft haben und ließen daher das Projekt fallen. Der Hubschrauber vermag nur mit größter Anstrengung das zu tun, was ein Ballon ohne Mühe schafft, und er ist keinesfalls besser als der Ballon zum schnellen horizontalen Flug geeignet. Wenn sein Triebwerk ausfällt stürzt er mit tödlicher Wucht ab, denn er kann weder schweben wie ein Ballon, noch wie ein Flugzeug gleiten. Hubschrauber sind viel leichter zu konstruieren als Flugzeuge. Ist die Konstruktion jedoch gelungen, ist sie nutzlos.“
