Rhubarb pie is one of my favorite pies. I think it might even tie with Pumpkin pie for most favorite. I remember one time making it with fresh rhubarb at my aunt's house when I was really young and even though I've only had it a couple of times since then, it's still held it's own as one of my favorite pies. It's just the right amount of sweet and tangy. I got it in my head last week to try my hand at making it! I've never made a pie like this before, a fruit filled-type pie. I've made pumpkin pie, but not one of these fancy double crust, lattice top ones. I found an awesome recipe on allrecipes.com and just went for it! It turned out amazing. I'm so excited, I have some leftover rhubarb so I want to make another!Ingredients

Yesterday it was so warm it almost felt like we were reverting back into summer for a sec! It's been super chilly the past few days so I automatically bundled up to ride my bike and when I got to my destination I was totally gross and sweaty. I suppose it serves me right for not checking to see what the temperature was before setting foot outside.I've been sniffly and sick the past couple days so my brain isn't firing on all cylinders. Consequently I don't have much to say. Other than thank the Lord for Excedrin and sleep.

I got our engagement photos last Thursday and I'm so thrilled! I want to get huge prints of some of these to hang on the wall in our bedroom! I seriously can't stop scrolling through them all. Mmmmm! Autumn means it's time to start making cozy food! I'm not sure if "cozy food" is an actual thing or not, but... it totally is. Dan & I received a crock pot as an early wedding present from one of his roommates and I've been geeking out about it. I definitely went to Half Price Books and procured myself a Betty Crocker slow cooker cookbook. One of my favorite stews that my mom makes back home in her crock pot is a beef stew, and it's soooo tasty. I'm not sure if mine was as
