This week on Relationships:Can you talk about how ostensibly passive people can be controlling? My sister is always hurt or wounded or offended and somehow is always the one who dominates all situations. How does that work? And how do you talk about it without being the insensitive case-in-point?

This week on Goals and Success:I am in a leadership position at work. My style is to acknowledge that everyone has flaws, starting with me; that our work together is a series of problems to solve and issues to overcome together, and that it's okay to be flawed and everyone is allowed to be human. At the same time, everyone's expected to deal above the table, support each other, and do our collective and individual best every day. This works well, but a couple of people mistake this style for weakness and they use it as an opportunity to disrespect me or to outshine their teammates. What's the best respond when it comes up? It doesn't make sense to say, get over yourself and be flawed like the rest of us!

This week on Emotional Struggles:My counselor told me that he thinks I might be a HSP (highly sensitive person). I read up on it and I don't know what to think about it. It seems to me that HSP's are just over-co-dependant people with boundary-problems. Could you explain what HSP means?

This week on Leadership:I work with someone who is comfortable with little white lies if it gets them ahead. These lies seem harmless enough from a company perspective, but they make me want to avoid any personal relationship. How do I pick my battles or negotiate between my own personal deal breakers and company ones?

This week on Dating:Tell a Date How You Really Feel

This week on Spiritual Life:The Nature Of Forgiveness

This week on Parenting:A mother of a classmate of my daughter wants to arrange a play date for our daughters. I don't like this other girl's behavior and I don't want my daughter hanging around her. What can I do?

This week on Marriage:My husband's mother is super-emotional and given to anger when she is crossed. My husband feels like he has it in his power to keep her from flying off the hook by doing whatever she wants. How can I show him she's controlling him even when he feels he has some power by pacifying her? I'm so irritated by this.
