Any decent music?
Glass Swords
Rustie
Glass Swords
It's mostly 8/10s so far for what reviewers are calling a "thrilling" and "compelling" debut from the Glaswegian producer, who skips through an assortment of electronic and bass styles
Wolfroy Goes To Town
Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy
Wolfroy Goes To Town
A moderate start for the latest offering from lo-fi alt.folk legend Will Oldham, this time accompanied by Chicago songwriter Angel Olsen. Uncut awards an 8/10 but other reviewers are more reserved
James Blake
Enough Thunder
The London post-dubstep producer and singer-songwriter might have been highly acclaimed for his debut album earlier this year but that's not guaranteed critical acceptance for his follow-up EP. The majority of the reviews so far find it unsatisfying
Radiohead
TKOL RMX 1234567
The critics are so far delivering a fairly emphatic thumbs up to the band's latest offering, in which various electronica producers, including Caribou and Jamie xx, rework tracks from the King Of Limbs album
Walls
Coracle
Generally approving reviews for the 2nd album from Alessio Natalizia (Banjo or Freakout) and Sam Willis (Allez-Allez), encompassing electronica, ambient, chillwave and more. The Quietus describes it as "a perfect soundtrack to the hazy, misty-morninged Indian summer we're enjoying"
Loney, Dear
Hall Music
The third album from this Swedish singer-songwriter is receiving fairly middling reviews so far, for what Paste calls "a spare, politely hushed and flatly paced LP."
Ryan Adams
Ashes & Fire
The prolific songwriter has returned to his alt.country roots for album No.13, and it's a move which has met general approval from reviewers. The BBC regards it as as good as 2001's acclaimed Gold album, and Q senses that "the fire in his belly has reignited"
Lisa Hannigan
Passenger
Hannigan's second album is attracting a collection of positive reviews, and it has entered our chart on an ADM rating of 7.3. MusicOMH are impressed, calling it a "self-assured and very cohesive piece of work."
Class Actress
Rapprocher
This Brooklynite's first album is being called chillwave, synthpop, 80s revivalist and the new La Roux. All we know is that it's receiving praise from our critics, like Drowned In Sound, who gave it an 8 and called it "a fantastically arranged and conceptually exquisite record."
Tubelord
ROMANCE
The second album from these frenetic genre hoppers has survived a mauling from Bowlegs to enter our chart with a respectable 6.2. This Is Fake DIY call it "just plain awesome."

One Pig
Matthew Herbert
One Pig
Some exceptional reviews for the avant-garde electronic composer's album on the lifetime of a pig, including a rare 10 from Clash and a 9 from music OMH
Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen
Casiokids
Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen
A generally appreciative set of reviews for the 3rd album from the Norwegian synthpop quartet. All Music is its biggest fan, while even Consequence of Sound, who rate it 5/10, say it's "enjoyable with a few flourishes of genuinely inspired moments"
The Great Escape Artist
Jane's Addiction
The Great Escape Artist
It's the first album in more than eight years from the veteran alt.rock outfit, but the early reviews are hardly a warm welcome back. Clash write it off as "one-paced and bloodless"
Emika
Emika
Emika
The debut album from the Czech-born, UK-based singer and producer, taking inspiration from techno and dubstep, gets a 6.9 rating as it comes into the chart. A handful of reviewers are highly enthusiastic about her brooding electronica songs, including The Observer who describe the album as "an intriguing work, dark and seductive"
Mylo Xyloto
Coldplay
Mylo Xyloto
The early critical verdict on the upcoming 5th album suggests it's a return to big pop songs. Mojo is the biggest fan to date, giving it an 8/10 rating
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
A mix of high praise and disappointmenmt greets the 1st solo album from the former Oasis mainman. It's an alt.rock / acoustic affair, and Q feels it "secures his position as one of our finest artists", but Uncut dismisses it as "a half-hearted failure of nerve"
Sets & Lights
Xeno and Oaklander
Sets & Lights
The first couple of reviews - from Drowned in Sound and Pitchfork - for the 3rd album from the NY coldwave / electro duo indicate it's been a successful effort. Pitchfork rates it "their best release yet"
Original Colors
High Places
Original Colors
Mixed reactions for the 3rd album from the LA-based experimental pop duo, ranging from "shudders with a crackling energy" (All Music) to "an absolute slog" (Tiny Mix Tapes)
Breaks in the Armor
Crooked Fingers
Breaks in the Armor
A favourable response to album No.6 from the band led by indie rock singer-songwriter Eric Bachmann, formerly of Archers of Loaf. Spin says it's "a gorgeous, toothy record"
Days
Real Estate
Days
These Brooklyn based psychedelic surf poppers are receiving some early praise, with the BBC calling Days a "perfect second LP."
Bad As Me
Tom Waits
Bad As Me
Four reviews and four 8/10s is the tally so far for the venerable singer-songwriter. "Multifariously marvellous" is the verdict from Uncut
