     POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLESUPPORT GROUP FACILITATOR DEPARTMENT MISSIONIn partnership with theOhio Developmental Disabilities Council and the Franklin County Board ofDevelopmental Disabilities, Asian American Developmental Disabilities Awareness(AADDA) aims to improve the lives and function of children and families livingwith special needs, and to increase awareness of disability services andrights. In addition to providing educational outreach to the Asian-Americancommunity on disabilities issues and cultural competency trainings for healthand educational service providers, AADDA provides case management services andsupport group sessions for families. JobResponsibilities-Provides outreach to the Asian-American community in order to recruitclients, and information to clients and their parents about the availabilityand benefits of AADDA and support group for families.  -Facilitates a music play group class for children with developmentdisabilities twice a month and support Program Coordinator in planning forspeakers to increase resources for families.-Ensures that all clients have a positive experience with the programsand program objectives are met. -Actively participates in relevant AACS meetings and trainings asneeded. -Other job-related duties as assigned by Program Manager. Requirements- Professionalcertification in students with disabilities strongly preferred.- Experience working with students.- Bi-lingual in Asian language preferred, butnot required. The compensation will be at $15 per hour for 10-12 hours per month.The Outreach Worker is an independent contractor and shall not beentitled to any fringe benefits that employees of AACS shall be entitled.
